Karin Barr
Karin Barr is a Waikato-based artist working from her rural studio in Tauhei. Born in Germany, Barr moved to New Zealand in 1994, where she began a new chapter of life on a farm. Expanding her artistic practice, she began exploring glass casting in 2009 - captivated by the luminous and transformative nature of glass, she deepens her engagement with the medium. Her evolving practice has recently extended to glassblowing, reflecting her dedication to the material.
