For Holly, working with clay is a very playful and joyful medium with unlimited possibilities. She believes it has helped her mend herself by using earth, water and heat - invigorating and so healing. The motivation for Holly's recent work has come from her experiences of displacement and disruption due to losing her home in the Canterbury earthquakes, Avonside was heavily affected - the place where she had lived for most of her life.
