Akane Nakao
Akane's work is functional domestic ware thrown on the pottery wheel at first and then trimmed by hand. Inspiration comes from a love of food, where the size and shape of the vessels are created to serve a particular food or drink and make it taste it's best. Akane is usually attracted to ordinary or very simple looking things, simple things still have a strong sense of existence in their humble simplicity.
