Artist Profile

I have been making jewellery for about 20 years. I completed a Fine Arts Degree at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, majoring in contemporary jewellery.

I have a lot of ideas for jewellery which I have recorded. Some of the jewellery here is a result of those drawings and some is a progression from what I have just made.

I like to make recurring units in jewellery, but like to make each one slightly different. This makes it look more natural to me; less like a machine made it. For this reason, I love texture and a scratched surface, rather than a highly polished one.
