I am concerned with the permutations of a limited number of variables.
My work is the traditional pottery of simple vessel forms.
I never decorate in the conventional sense; relying instead on severely turned surfaces to reflect light. My work has resonances of industrial ceramics of insulators or urinals as well as referencing the work of Keith Murray at Wedgwood and Crown Lynn in New Zealand.
I am obsessively concerned with the presentation and display of objects and currently group my pieces as random clusters where the matt and shiny surfaces and the negative and positive spaces can interact.
